I would like to search for a word in each of the word files that are is contained in a directory (I am not interested in replacing it, just searching for it.) I am using 2007 and I believe this feature used to be under open, tools.

In the upper-right corner of the File Open dialog window, you'll see a search box. Type your keywords in there.
