i dont know if u can help me with this, but everytime i try to copen a document, it opens in wordpad and not microsoft word. I think something got changed in my computer, and i dont know how to fix it. It opens in word pad as a bunch of symbols and junk and not writing....Do have any idea how to fix it? Thanks! Somehow you changed the default application assigned with DOC files to WordPad. That's OK.
This might be slightly different based on what operating system you have, but the general gist of the procedure is this:
Open up Windows Explorer or My Computer. Find a DOC file. Right-click on it and select OPEN WITH. In the list of programs that pops up, select MICROSOFT WORD and make you select the "make this the default application" option.
That should do it.
