I should like to have Normal.dot on my desktop so I can readily make alterations to the defaults. I have searched and none of the answers I found on Google seem to work. In particular I should like Courier new 12, 1.5 line spacing, and  justified, for EVERY line in the  complete document, ignoring the split between headings and body text etc. How can I get to Normal.dot please?  Many thanks Paul W Hunt

From WINDOWS, perform a search for "Normal.DOT." When you find it, right-click and drag it to your desktop and then select CREATE SHORTCUT HERE. You don't need to move Normal.DOT to your desktop. Just place a shortcut to it there so you can quickly edit it.
