Parameter queries and forms

I have created a form based on a query where I have to give the parameters for a date range and a choice of 4 locations to run i. When the form opens after the query runs the field for the date and the field for the location both have dropbox arrows on the side. I can't choose anything from those arrows, nor do I want to, but how do I get rid of those dropbox arrows on the form.

First of all you mean a Combo Box, not a Dropbox.
You will need to change the control from a Combo Box to a Text Box.
You will most probably have to make some changes to your query in order to get the value into the Text Box.

Before making these changes make sure you backup the Query and the Form just in case things go wrong (always a good idea) so you can easily revert back to what you had.

No, I don't mean a combo box. I get the value of the form fields directly from the query. The result from the query displayed in the form is correct. When I run the query I have to enter the required  date range and the location to get the result I want. This works fine. I then use a continuous form to display the result of the query. However, the form then displays the arrow boxes on the right side of the fields that used the parameter results as if you can choose . When you click the arrow a blank appears as the only option. I want to get rid of the arrows boxes.

Managed to solve it. In the table I had originally used the Lookup Wizard which inserted a Combo Box in the Lookup field.  By setting the field to Textbox and re-entering the field in the form it was solved. Thanks for your help.  BTW, Richard was absolutely right in telling us not to use the Lookup Wizard. Lesson learned.
