I'd not thought about the suggestions, thought since you had a channel it would just show other videos from yourself.
I've just had a look into the YouTube API and there are some custom players you can set, chromeless player where you can create your own buttons and control them with JavaScript

The iFrame stuff looks experimental

But since it's JavaScript you could check for ended (0) call the next video in the loop and highlight the video link using the code you have already written to do that.

The playlist idea should be able to listen for events to, just call your code after each video has ended also.

Yep... I'm sure that there's a lot more I could do with it. I just need time to experiment and play with it. Right now my priority is just to make it look nice and have it be a good experience for the end user.
