When I try to open one of my client's access database I am getting 'Make sure MachineID.dll is in your search path. But I do tot know what that means and where can I get it? I appreciate the help
Off the top of my head, that's looking like a reinstall Office. Try running down the Troubleshooter. Maybe one of my guys will have another idea. I've never heard of that DLL before, and a quick Google search doesn't tell me much.

Most likely it's a VBA reference that existed in your client's PC but does not exist in yours. In Access, go to Create -> Visual Basic (on the ribbon) -> Tools -> References. All the items on the list are DLL files, and one of them is likely to be the problematic one. You can uncheck it so you don't get that error. But if your client's database needs it, you need to find a way to get that DLL file into your PC, and put it back into the References section in Access. It is also best to find out why exactly MachineID.dll is needed in the database. The VBA modules may yield some clues, since VBA references are usually added for VBA coding.
