Wasn't really sure where to post a "suggestion" so I hope this makes its way through the proper channels! I would greatly appreciate it if your videos listed dates of recording and last updated. For people new to the world of all the various topics you cover, it is difficult to discern the current relevancy. If the recording is obviously old, is it still relevant, is the program still being used in today's business world? I hope I've made my point clear but if not, feel free to contact me for further elaboration!

Most everything that is old is still relevant, stuff that isn't because a program like Googles QR codes broke usually gets an amendment added to the course info. Also if you hover over the release time (8 hours ago, 8 months ago, 8 years ago) whatever it is. It will tell you the time/date of the release.
If there is something that is old and out of date and no longer relevant, I do my best to put an addendum video or at least a note on the page as soon as someone says something about it. It's happened a few times throughout the years. For example, back when I first started the Access course, storing images in the database as well as the objects was considered standard practice. But as time went on and I learned better ways of doing things, it's no longer considered a good idea. I've made notes on the course where that's the case.
I specifically don't like putting dates on some pages because the video might still be perfectly relevant, but the user will see an older date and not bother with it because they think it's not valid anymore. For example, I've had people in the past look at my Access course and say, "Oh, it's recorded with 2013, but I've got 2016, so I'm going to go find a more up-to-date video." They don't realize, because they're beginners, that really not much changed between 2013 and 2016 from a beginner's standpoint. Sure, there were some bug fixes and some advanced enhancements and things like that, but the core product is the same, which is why I haven't made more of an effort to re-record a lot of my older videos. The topics are the same, the concepts are the same, everything's the same. In fact, I made a whole page explaining this to people who question it.
So, I like to post dates when they are relevant, and if something is out of date, I try to put a note on it. As far as whether it's still being used in today's business world, that's tough because that changes daily. I hear people all the time saying, "My company is moving away from Microsoft Access because we're going with this other web-based service that costs a ton more..." Well, yeah, that's the case. Not a lot of people still think that Access is still relevant in 2024, but I make the case all the time that it is. So, I can go on for hours about this.
But I appreciate the suggestion. If something is out of date, I do my best to address it. If you find something that's out of date, please let me know and I will address it. :)
