Had a good vacation, but my flight home was delayed, so instead of getting home today, I'll be home tomorrow. I'm losing my faith in Delta Airlines.

They are supposed to be the best we have. Sad.

Yeah. We were sitting on the runway for over 90 minutes. The captain first came on and said we were waiting for air traffic control. Then he came on after that and said that the plane was too heavy to use the scheduled runway, so we had to taxi to a different one and wait for clearance there. So basically, because they overloaded the plane, I had to miss my connecting flight and have to stay overnight in Atlanta. Stranded in Atlanta again by Delta. Not very happy.

Oh, and my phone broke too. Fortunately I carry an emergency backup.

OK, so this is one reason why you should always talk to the gate agent and don't always trust the app... They were able to get me a flight out tonight at 10 PM when the app said everything was booked until tomorrow. So, score one for me. Delta has a little less of my scorn now. What's a few more hours to kill at the airport?

Finally in the air on the way to Fort Myers. What a long day. Been up since 6am.

Glad you got (even if it was a little late) home safe, and now you can sleep in your own bed.

Yeah... nothing like sleeping in my own bed. I love to travel, but I also love coming home. To me, a week is too long to be away. The perfect trip for me is 5 days. A day of travel, 3 days wherever you're going, and a day to come home. I start getting antsy after that. I miss my bed, my puppies, and yes, my work. I love what I do, and I really can't do it anywhere properly but in my office. Everything is just set up EXACTLY the way I like it here. When I bring my laptop on the road, I don't feel productive. In any case... yeah, we brought home a cold, but I was fine after 24 hours in bed. Weird. I'll attribute my speedy recovery to the fact that my fiance and I just got our flu shots a few weeks ago. My immune system was already prepared to deal with it. :)
