Computer Learning Zone CLZ Access Excel Word Windows

The purpose of education is to show people how to learn for themselves. The other part of it is that you need to reach that state of independence and self-reliance.

WalkThru - Downloading Courses

As of April 2013, we no longer support the Amicron Video Player. You may download and use it, but we will no longer be supporting it. Click here for instructions on how to download your video files directly.

Once you have our Video Player Software installed, you can begin downloading your courses from the web site. As long as you have registered your software with the username and password you purchased your courses with, the Video Player will automatically download and install your courses without the need for any additional passwords.

If you have not downloaded and installed the Video Player software, then click here for instructions.

If you would prefer to watch your courses on our Web site and not have to download or install any software, then consider using our Online Theater.

NOTE: Before you begin, make sure you have a 599CD username and password for your account. If you do not have a password for your account yet, then click on the link to go to the Account Information Center where you can create one.

If you purchased your courses direct from the
599CD.com web site, your username will be your email address, and you would have specified a password when you placed your order.

If you obtained your courses from a different web site, one of our affiliates, or a retail location, you might not have an account in our database yet. Please visit the
Account Information Center first, create your account, and set a password.

If you purchased one of our courses on CD-ROM and it was shipped to you, simply put the CD in your computer and the software should automatically begin installing. You don't need to download anything additional from the web site, unless there is an optional software upgrade available. Click here for details on installing your courses from CD.

Go ahead and run the Video Player. Once it has been installed you should see an icon for it on your Windows Desktop. Just double-click this icon to load up the Video Player program.

This is the Main Menu of the Video Player:

Right now, there are NO videos loaded into your computer. All we have done so far is download and install the player software. It's like buying a CD player without any music CDs to listen to. This is why I recommend you do this while you're connected to the Internet - because we can use the Video Player program itself to download and install your video lessons.

If you are connected to the Internet when you run our software, you should also see the "Welcome to 599CD" window and some additional buttons on the right side of your screen. You will need to be connected to the Internet in order to download your lessons.

Now we want to log into your 599CD account on our Web site so we can start downloading your courses. Click on the My Account button in the bottom-right corner of the window.

This is why it's important for you to be online, and to enter your 599CD email and password, because now you are logged on to your account, and you can access all of your courses quickly and easily. Notice the User Account Information screen loads up inside the Video Player.

IMPORTANT: If you do not see your account information load up, press the REG (Register) button and type in the exact email address and password you used when you first placed your order with us. If you have lost your password, visit the Account Information page and reset it or contact customer service.

To access your courses, click on the My Courses link.

You will now see a list of all of the courses you have purchased (plus handbooks). For details on a specific course, click on it.

Here is all of the information about this course, including it's manual installation password.

To download the course to your PC (so you can watch it even when you're not connected to the Internet) click on the flashing green bar that says "click to download..."

Your course will download from our server...

When the file is done downloading, you'll see this window. Click OK, Install Now.

Vista users may see the User Account Control window again saying that a program is trying to install. Click Allow again.

You'll see a similar Welcome screen for each course you install. Click Next

Again, read and agree to the license agreement.

When this course is finished installing, you should see this screen. Click Exit.

Repeat the steps above to download all of your courses. When you're finished, you should be back at the main menu of the Video Player. You will see the names of the categories of your courses in the top left box. The individual courses themselves will appear below that. To start a lesson, just double-click on a course name (or click on it, and click on Run).

The first lesson will start, and you will see all of the standard video player controls (stop, play, pause, rewind, etc.). If you're online, you will see the Student Interaction Forum for each course appear on the right side.

Now your courses are installed, and you're ready to being Using the Video Player.
