By purchasing any course, membership, seminar, downloadable file, or other product or service from Computer Learning Zone, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not place an order or sign up for a membership. These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version will always be available on this website.

License

All courses, videos, handbooks, sample databases, code, downloads, and related materials are licensed, not sold. All content remains the property of Computer Learning Zone, Amicron, and Richard Rost. 

Purchases are for a single user and members of that user's immediate household. Immediate household generally includes a spouse and immediate family members who reside in the same home. Licenses are non-transferable. You may access your purchased content on your own devices for personal use. You may not share, distribute, copy, resell, publish, upload, or provide access to any paid content to anyone outside your immediate household. See my page on Sharing Courses for details.

Businesses, schools, government agencies, and organizations must purchase separate licenses for each user unless otherwise authorized in writing. See my Volume Discounts page for information on purchasing multiple copies for employees of your organization.

Compatibility

I have been creating computer training courses for nearly three decades, and each course was recorded using the current version of Microsoft Access, Microsoft Office, or Windows available at the time it was produced. While the appearance of menus, ribbons, buttons, and screens may vary between software versions, the concepts and techniques being taught remain largely the same. In fact, many courses recorded years ago are still fully applicable to current versions because the core features of Microsoft Access and other Office applications have changed very little over time. New features were added, sure, but few existing features were changed significantly.

Newer courses, seminars, and Developer Lessons are recorded using current software whenever practical. When significant version differences exist, we make every reasonable effort to note them in the lesson materials, course descriptions, accompanying documentation, or on the class page. Please review the course description, any available sample lessons, and notes provided on the class page before purchasing to ensure the course content meets your needs. 

Delivery

Most orders are processed automatically within minutes. Occasionally, orders may require manual review or processing. Please allow up to two business days for delivery in rare cases.

Refunds

Due to the digital nature of my products, all sales are final. If you are dissatisfied with a purchase, contact me. While refunds are not normally provided, I may offer a store credit, exchange, or other resolution at my sole discretion. If you're not sure that you're going to like my training style, watch one of my many Free Courses first. All of my Beginner Level 1 courses are free. I recommend Access Beginner Level 1.

Memberships

Memberships and subscription programs automatically renew until canceled. By purchasing a membership, you authorize recurring charges to your selected payment method. Please review your order carefully before submitting payment. Optional memberships, subscriptions, and add-on services selected during checkout may result in additional recurring charges.

I send email receipts and notifications for purchases, renewals, and other account activity whenever practical. However, email delivery is not perfect. Messages may be delayed, filtered, blocked, or lost by spam filters, email providers, Internet service providers, or other systems beyond my control. It is your responsibility to monitor your account activity and payment statements and to notify me promptly if you have any questions regarding charges or membership status.

Memberships and course deliveries are generally processed according to the schedule associated with your membership. However, processing dates may occasionally vary by a few days due to weekends, holidays, system maintenance, travel schedules, administrative processing, or other operational requirements. Such adjustments do not affect the overall value of your membership or the products and services you receive.

You may cancel at any time before your next billing date to prevent future charges. Cancellation stops future billing but does not automatically refund prior charges. Depending on how you signed up, cancellation may need to be completed through Computer Learning Zone, PayPal, YouTube, or another payment provider. This includes but is not limited to the Learning Connection, TechHelp Memberships, and MYOLP. See my Memberships page for additional details.

In the event your credit card is declined, my system will make additional attempts to process the transaction over the next couple of days. If you wish to cancel the order please contact me before this happens.

Support

Customer Service is always free and is available for account issues, order questions, and problems accessing purchased content. If you have questions about your order, what is covered in a class, or are having problems viewing your lessons, that's Customer Service.

Technical Support for Microsoft Access, Excel, VBA, Windows, or other software topics is not included. While we provide extensive assistance through our forums, videos, and memberships, technical support is not guaranteed. If you have questions about how to do things in Access, Excel, etc. that is Technical Support.

I try to help as many people as I can every day in my Forums and TechHelp videos, but this is not a guaranteed service. You are buying my videos. Nothing else. I am not available for paid consulting services, and I do not fix databases. See my Access Developer Network if you're looking to hire a developer, consultant, or tutor to help you one-on-one.

Disclaimer

All courses, downloads, databases, code samples, and other materials are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. I make no guarantee that any course, database, code sample, or technique will meet your specific requirements or operate without error.

Liability

The maximum liability of Computer Learning Zone, Amicron, and Richard Rost shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim. Computer Learning Zone, Amicron, and Richard Rost shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of any products or services.

Privacy

I respect your privacy. Your personal information will never be sold to third parties. Access to customer information is restricted and used only as necessary to operate my business and provide services to customers. Information collected during purchases and account registration is used only to provide products, services, account access, customer support, and related communications. 

My website uses cookies and similar technologies to provide essential functionality, including account login, shopping cart features, site preferences, security, and website performance. I may also use third-party services, such as advertising providers, payment processors, embedded media, and analytics tools, which may place their own cookies or collect information in accordance with their own privacy policies. By using my website, you consent to the use of cookies and similar technologies as described in this policy. I do not intentionally collect information from children under the age of 13.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action arising from these terms shall be brought in the appropriate state or federal courts located in Florida. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.
