I'm Taking a Week Off for Oral Surgery

Hey guys. I just wanted to take a minute to let everyone know I'll be taking a week off due to some upcoming oral surgery and the expected recovery period. Nothing serious... I'm having my two lower wisdom teeth removed. They've been just fine my whole life, and I made it to 50 with them, but one has a cavity, so my dentist was like "well, no sense fixing it. Just have it pulled." And then the oral surgeon was like, "well, if you don't have the other bottom one pulled too, you will be back to see me in a few years..." So they're both coming out. Fortunately the two top ones are still hiding nicely.

Normally the recovery period for wisdom tooth extraction is 3 or 4 days, but everything that I've read says that gets a little longer the older you get. Usually people have this surgery in their 20s, and I've always been a big baby when it comes to anything like this, so I'm expecting to be down for a week. And since my job entails... uhm... talking a lot... I'm going to take a break, rest, and recover my big mouth. To make things worse I'm just now getting over a cold that I picked up when I visited my parents up in Buffalo last week. Thanks mom & dad. So I'm behind schedule on a lot of stuff I had planned on having done by today.

I'm going to do my best to record enough video to queue up something every day while I'm out (which has been my goal, and I've been doing a pretty good job of it). I've got one good TechHelp video planned with an extended cut, and a bunch of shorter beginner videos, including tomorrow's What is a Combo Box? One of my goals is to show up in search results for even simple things like that on YouTube, so expect to see a few of these come out over the next week. I don't want you members thinking that I've forgotten about you. Don't worry. Plenty of Developer-level stuff coming when I get better.

Even though I won't be able to make videos, I'll still be checking email and such. If you need anything customer-service related, contact me here. If you have technical questions, post in the Forums and I'm sure my excellent band of brigands will do their best to help you out. 

OK. So, that's it. Just wanted to keep you guys posted. I go in for surgery early Wednesday morning, so...

P.S. Oh, and the 4th is a holiday here in the States, so... no video for that day either.

Update July 3: I took yesterday and today and recorded 4 quality videos I'm pretty happy with. I think you'll like em. One or two more tomorrow, maybe.

Update July 4: OK, finished two more today. You guys are good until July 12th. Now I'm done for a few days. Seriously. Take care. Be safe. Love ya.
