To my fellow Americans, happy Independence Day. Enjoy your cookouts and fireworks.

Try to be mindful of the pets in your neighborhood. I'll be at home with my (moderately sedated) puppies all night because they freak out with fireworks.

Watch your fingers.

Don't forget the milk and cookies.
