I don't know about you, but to me it seems like the Facebook bar that I added a few weeks ago is actually SLOWING the site down. I notice that as the page loads I see "looking up api.facebook.com" or "waiting for facebook.com" in the status bar at the bottom of my browser.

Perhaps I should just make a separate page with all that facebook goodness on it so it's not slowing down the rest of the site.

What do you think? Have you noticed a speed hit?
