National boundaries are not evident when we view the Earth from space. Fanatical ethnic or religious or national chauvinisms are a little difficult to maintain when we see our planet as a fragile blue crescent...
I have been a member and student of Access Learning Zone (599cd.com) for 2 years now. Even though I have been using Access for 30 years, my databases have vastly improved in functionality since I started with him. You can see his fingerprints all over them now.
Here are my favorites additions since training with him:
* Added a complete email system with templates and automation (not Outlook) * Added complete document management (file system interactions) * Added recently viewed customers list which improves customer service response time * Added better search functionality (SQL with dynamic Where strings in VBA) * Most macros are now VBA * More queries are now SQL * Added more date and string manipulations to aid in automation and speed workflows * My knowledge of events has vastly improved resulting in more automatic events and less mouse clicks. Also added visual clues by color, visibility, caption, etc.
I am up to Developer 36 and did not skip any levels. Richard's correct when he says you will pick up tips and tricks along the way so watch them all. It is only to your benefit.

Quick access to Richard's training right on my desktop.
That's awesome, Joe. That really makes me feel good about what I do when I hear from people like you who have benefitted from my lessons. Do you mind if I move this thread to the Testimonials page?

I am with you on this one, as I too have used Spreadsheets and Database programs when they first started to make their appearance in computing. I started with the 8" Floppy disks Office suite and knew very little about what it was and did.
I work with spreadsheets everyday and know most of the stuff that is being taught, but there is so much contact that I never ever used and did not know existed. So now I am doing the same and improving my skills Thanks to Richard.
That old old saying you only know what you know, but do not know what you don't know. It is like awakening to find a new way of doing things.
So Richards courses are for everyone no matter what level of skill you think you have. We never stop learning.
Good to see someone like yourself enjoying the courses like I do and having the same thought pattern.
Allan McConnell "That old old saying you only know what you know, but do not know what you don't know. It is like awakening to find a new way of doing things." - it's funny you mention this because tomorrow's Captain's Log is about the "4 Stages of Competence." :)
