The big thing about Richard's lessons is the various types of situation he introduces to make things memorable. The result is that you're not just "learning" something, you're "using" it as you learn. It's also the fact that he never underestimates his students. He gives little, tempting titbits of more advanced stuff which "capture" the imagination. I very much admire his teaching technique and can only guess how much work he puts into it.
