Either an object bound to table 'Student' is open or another user has the table open. Do you want to open table as read only. kindly guide me how to resolve this issue thanks

Close the Form that is bound to that Table. You can't make changes to the structure of the Table while the Form is open.

We need more information. See Posting Rules, specifically "Post specific error messages, not just "it don't work.""
We would need to know type of field and type of value, etc. screen shots of design view etc. help greatly in locating issues. For example, are you trying to assign a default value that is too large for a number type, etc.
