Can you please help me. I am using DAO recordset in Access to import from Excel spreadsheet. When I import the data, the Excel spreadsheet turns to Read-only. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong. I have referenced the Excel Library and close down the Worksheet and the Workbook in Access when I close the Recordset.

I've never seen this happen before, so I don't know the answer to your question off the top of my head. I'd need to play with it in order to tell you what's wrong. If you want to send it to my TechHelp team, one of my Techs or I will look at it for you.
