I started to create a house build planner. I already have the idea and have created some tables and forms. When I started to create the main dashboard, I ran into some roadblocks related to design in Access. I would like to have a more modern look for my interface (the layout of the forms).
For example, when using a square box in Access with a fill color (e.g., white), I can add a shadow, but I cannot make the corners round. I would also like the shadows to be a bit softer and more gradual.
I tried creating something in PowerPoint and inserting it as an image, but then I ran into the issue of the orange box around the image, which limits where I can position it.
My question is: I looked on your homepage but couldnt find anything about this. Is there a way to create better visual layouts in Access, not just square boxes or hard shadows, but something more modern like Windows or other software out there?
You can build a background image using any program to look like what you want. Just save the image as a JPG or BMP, then load this image as the form or report background image. Then just put Transparent buttons over the areas the user would click.
