Hello everyone. for once I would like to share something besides a question and I hope that it is ok for me to share here in the Forums. A couple I have known since 1983 and my USAF days came to visit WNY for 9 days and have a rental car. However, I was able to take a day off last Tuesday and chauffeured them to both sides of Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario. Attached is one of my many photos of the lights on the Falls.
Yes, Kenneth, that's a wonderful photo. Thanks very much for sharing it. That's exactly what the General Discussion forum is for - anything you'd like to talk about, within the bounds of the rules, of course. No politics, religion, that kind of stuff.
Having grown up in Western New York and lived there for the first 40-some years of my life, I've been to Niagara Falls many times. A few years ago, I took my wife there. She'd never seen the Falls before, and she was actually in tears at how beautiful they are. We saw them during the day, though. We didn't get to see them lit up like this.
To me, it was always, "Oh, big deal, it's the Falls," because I grew up there and saw them all the time. But for someone who's never seen them, pictures really don't do them justice. You've got to see them in person. This was right after COVID, so we could only go to the American side. The Canadian side is much, much better.
