Cruise Line Reservation Account Issues
Thomas Gonder

Welcome to my daily life living in Colombia where every web page has some kind of problem either with my address or my credit/debit card(s). Nobody can tell me if it was the local credit card processing company's problem or my bank that rejected a charge. I say nobody, because customer support doesn't exist here, as it doesn't in most USA companies anymore (after 48 years being a Bank of America customer, I just closed all my accounts with them). A $4,000 cruise reservation I made just lapsed because I couldn't chat with anyone about a problem in the small print that indicated I wouldn't be getting what I paid for based on their deceptive advertising BS.

And it's not like that venue is sending you a package that you shouldn't receive. They know exactly where you'll be that day and time.

And if you really want to discuss stupid, that cruise line, Royal Caribbean, let me make the reservation without creating an account but they wouldn't let me modify or delete it without an account. DOH! Guys, I don't have an account, and to delete the reservation, I sure as hell am not going to create one so you can send me tons of spam and who knows what else.

Yeah, exactly. It's especially ridiculous when the "security" system creates a problem that can only be fixed by creating an account you never wanted in the first place.

And you're right - for a cruise reservation, they know where you're going to be. It isn't like they're trying to ship a package to some questionable address. The lack of any human support when something goes sideways is what really gets me, too.

Richard I meant they know where you'll be for your Rush event.
Sure, use a stolen card to buy a ticket to a concert with an assigned seat. Kind of like the police sending out "You won a sweepstakes prize" to criminals they have an arrest warrant for, and then giving an address and time to get the prize. SuPRIZE, here's your handcuffs dummy.
