Alex Don't know VBA, I'll work on it. I have a spread sheet 50+ entries. I want to copy a sub-set of this Spread sheet(Rows) for all Rows that have a (Y) in a given column which will be variable each month. I'm a relative novice so any thoughts that I can try would be useful Cheers Chris Daniggelis

You could convert the data into a Table (Ctrl+L) Filter on the column to Y. Copy and paste.
One good tip for learning VBA is to take a copy of the spreadsheet. Go to the Macro Recorder, hit play, repeat those steps. Stop, now take a look at how it has done it, then tidy it up.
