I have a spreadsheet with a column with a staff member and another column next to this one with time spent on a specific task. I need to calculate working ours for every staff member on a specific date. Answer from Richard Rost:
This is a perfect job for a PIVOT TABLE. You can easily add up the times and group them by staff members. It's too much to go into detail here, but if you google "excel pivot tables" I'm sure you'll find a million tutorials on them.
