I use the "decrease decimal" button to round my numbers and noted that it rounds f.x. 0.235 to 0.23 in stead of 0.24 (like I would normally do). Can that be changed? So that 5 is rounded up and not down? Answer from Richard Rost:
That doesn't happen for me. When I type in 0.235 in Excel 2007 and 2003, and click on DECREASE DECIMAL, I get a value of 0.24 showing.
It's important to note, however, that the decrease decimal button doesn't change the value. It doesn't round it off. It just DISPLAYS a rounded value. The actual full value is still stored in the cell.
