I created a spreadsheet to track projects of mine as they come in from customers. I track various dates throughout the request process. Some of these dates include when the project was received into engineering, when the project was quoted and when a PO (Purchase Order) was received. One of the last dates that I enter to complete each project is the Engineering Release date. I want to know if there is a way to either change the color of this particular cell where I enter in the Engineering Release date or even change the color of the entire project "row" to indicate this project is now closed out.
Could you please assist me on this ASAP if possible.
Thank you very much. Answer from Richard Rost:
You can change the value of a specific cell using Conditional Formatting. When I would do is to make a STATUS column and then put the status of the project in that column: open, closed, etc. Then you could use Conditional Formatting on that column.
