in Excel, when I format the cells to use 4 digit years, if I enter 9/15/20 it returns 9/15/2020. but anything over 29 returns 1900. ex: 9/15/30 becomes 9/15/1930. it does this with any kind of date format. do you know why? thanks.
Answer from Richard Rost:
This is how Windows behaves. It's a setting that you can change in your Control Panel under Regional Settings. By default, the cutoff date is 1929.
