Our academic system rewards people who know a lot of stuff... but at the end of the day who do you want: the person who can figure things out that they've never seen before or the person who can rattle off a bunch of facts?
Im not sure what category this falls under.... I would like to create a database over the internet. Is it better to have the entire application hosted or a front end on the users computer and just access the data on the net. What would some begining steps Be? Thanks.
Reply from Richard Rost:
Personally, I prefer the database on a web server and a WEB-based front-end for the users, as I cover in my Access/Web seminars. However, Access 2010 has some promising new features for creating web-enabled databases on a Sharepoint server. I haven't FULLY explored it yet, but expect a video on it in the future.
