How do I erase everything on an xp laptop and re-install the xp? The guy that put the laptop together gave me a disk with everything on it. But heres the thing. He wrote in big bold letter on the disc"NOT A BOOTDISC" Ok. so now what? Please help if you can. Thanks.

You'll need to get a boot disc. Either find an original Windows XP CD or your system restore discs. To erase EVERYTHING securely, you need to format the drive and reinstall Windows - and you can't do that without a boot disc.
