Fun Teacher is Better

Everything, from the guided explanation to the videos with step-by-step instructions and details. Especially when its shown there are 5-10 different ways to do something with Access, and finally we get taught the way/method perfected by Richard.

The speech is very professional, as expected of an educational courses. However, having watched several tech-help videos which contain humour and a different voice-tone (which makes me far more engrossed and focused) its hard to switch back to the course videos because they sound monotonous.

The course material itself it perfect, I don't see how it can be improved. But if in future you make an updated version of the course videos, add a little of the humour from the tech-help videos. For me, a FUN teacher is WAY BETTER than a strict teacher, as the student stays more focused and learns the content more easily.

Yeah, the Expert classes were recorded back when I was trying to be all stiff and professional. I loosen up more as the years go on. Now, I just have fun with it. And people seem to like it better! If you go back and watch my original Access 101 class from 2002 (damn, it's been 20 years) you'll see I'm even more stiff.

Expert 1 was released in 2013, and I still had a lot of that "trying to be so professional" attitude. I used to also hide the fact that I was a small company (just a one-man band) and would write emails "from customer service" and talk in the plural all the time "our Christmas special," etc. Now I really don't care. I spent a lot of time trying to do just the opposite now... Rewrote the whole site to let everyone know, "it's just me!" LOL
