Hey Richard, I (obviously) have a question for you! My knowledge of Excel is very basic.. I am trying to create a file where I can put in app. 100 values in one worksheet.. on another (the main worksheet) I would like to be able to enter one of these values in a certain cell and automatically get the corresponding code in another, predefined cell.
Should work like this: Worksheet 1 : 2 columns; 1 with a certain code, and the second with the corresponding value. Worksheet 2: When I put in that 'certain code' i automatically get the code's value on column 2
I hope you kind of understand my question.. if not clear let me know..

You are correct in that you want to use the VLOOKUP function…
You can use the VLOOKUP or HLOOKUP function.
VLOOKUP is a powerful function in Microsoft Excel that allows you to look up a value from another spreadsheet - or a smaller subtable (lookup table).
