Hello:  I have a computer which I haven't used in a long time.  I moved a it to a new location in my house and when I turned it on to use it, I didn't remember the password when I was prompted to enter it.  The computer is a Dell, PC Windows 2000.  Is there a way to recover, reset, or bypass the password so I can use the computer?  Thank you for your help.

Sorry, I don't know of any way to recover the password. You'll have to reformat your drive and install a fresh copy of Windows. That password is DESIGNED to be secure. If it were Windows 95 or 98, there are easy ways to hack in. Not so much with Windows 2000 and up.
