At approximately 5:30 into the lesson, commission = sales amount * comrate is discussed.

What happened to

Commission = val(salesAmount)*Val(comRate)

Go back to VB 101, Lesson 5, 7:30.  So VB treats them as values rather than text

For VB to perform calculations on numbers, we need to put val(1stnumber)* val(secondnumber)
