Starfleet captains are like children. They want everything right now and they want it their way. But the secret is to give them only what they need, not what they want.
I have just returned from an enjoyable cruise of 7 days during which time I found the courses, which I had previously transferred to my iPad, invaluable not only for understanding the course, but also for the ease of use whilst away from my desktop computer. I would thoroughly recommend transferring the courses for study in an adverse environment.
