ABCD

Richard, Happy Birthday in advance... I have another idea. I was working up a new contract and noticed I use the same 3 documents. 1- estimate, 2- work statement, and 3- request for funds.  So I have in the miscelanius tab the 3 items listed and as I get them done I populate the date finihed and place move the documents into the documents tab.  here is mu thought - I like to drop the 3 templates in the system files and when a new project gets created reather than the miscelanius tab loading up the 3 items have the documents tab load the documents and copy the templates to the project folder and populate the 3 items. This will go hand in hand with the multiple email file to email or print.  Can this be added to the long list for ABCD? Do you think this is something you may like in your database? I am going to try this my self but just know my code will not be as streamlined as yours, heck I may not even get it to work.  I am still a spaghetti programer.  Dont know if you recall that term.  LOL

Its me and my espresso got wired caution starbuck has 2X cafine coffee.  I have a large cup so I did two pods sat down as i drank my coffee I started to twitch and ping... LOL
In the ABCD database you have Misc Tab and you have items auto populate (set by MiscTypeF for everyone). When it gets opened 1st time it will show up.
So I like to auto populate in the documents tab also just like misc tab.  I use 3 documents every time on project proposal.  I like to place the 3 documets templates in the system directory where the jpgs are.

When the documents tab get opened 1st time checks for the document.  if not found then gets them .  Copies to the folder, setup the link in the table.  Just like the miscTab my thought is if you use a document for every entity lets say membership information.pdf this way no need to fill out then go hunt for it.  Its in the dicuments tab ready to be filledout.
Let me know what you think?

OK. I'm moving this to the ABCD features in development page. I'll look into this when I sit down to work on ABCD next, which should be soon.

This thread is now CLOSED. If you wish to comment, start a NEW discussion in ABCD Features In Development.
