I'm looking into pasting values vs paste match destination formatting. From what I can tell match destination formatting is only used when data was copied from outside Excel. I have Excel files I download from an internal company website, and they all populate in "General" format. I have to go thru and verify the data and given that there are leading/trailing blanks, and invisible characters this makes it very difficult. I end up changing the formatting just to make the file work right. Now comes the fun part. When I resubmit the file back to the website it has to be in that same "General" format before whatever program it's going into will accept it. How can I be certain I've got everything back the way it was? As this pertains to monthly bonuses, I don't want to mess anything up. TIA, Monica Silver member
