I am working on creating a more efficient database for part tracking for a system previously tracked by a multiple excel with 7-8 sheets in each file. it is already a complex path to follow, but I am struggling because I need to have the old improperly formatted data that includes many repeated entries stored within the database alongside the new, more efficiently entered data. I can't think of another way to get it to merge other than re-entering all the data, which isn't an option seeing as there are thousands of parts with more than 100 different fields each.
