You can not become a scientist if you require that every question has an answer because its the very questions that have no answer that attract you to a laboratory every single day.
Hi Cathy, Have a look into DLookup. That should get you what you want.
On the Open event, set a textbox field to now() then on the save set another textbox field to now() then you can do a datediff on the two textboxes to find the time taken.
You could add another save button that saves but set it to reopen with the id of the saved record.
