Has anyone else had difficulty printing and scanning barcodes. I watched the Access TechHelp videos on printing and scanning barcodes. I downloaded the Free 3 of 9 Barcode Font and used it to place barcodes in my form. I have not been able to successfully read the codes using 2 different scanners. The scanner Company, Unitech, has been working with me and they advised the the problem is with the printing and the codes do not meet the standards. Has anyoone else had this problem and if so how was it resolved? Thanks

I use WASP scanners and had to go with UPC-A Code 128 barcodes. Has been working perfectly for a few years now. You just need to find someone selling the font you need, I got mine from barcodewiz, they even have a tutorial on their site specifically for using it with access.

Make sure your barcodes conform to industry standards. There are requirements for height, width, and how much empty space should surround a barcode (so the scanner knows when it begins and ends). Here is a site where you can create test barcodes: https://barcode.tec-it.com/en . Make some barcodes with it and scan them on your monitor. If they work, see how they differ with yours.
