saved records

Hi, Firstly I love to watch and learn from your videos.  I need some guidance on a VBA project I am working on.  I am compiling a Salary/Wage database that also can print monthly payslips.  My concern is, how to save the records from year to year.  For example if an annual salary is EUR 10,000 then the monthly salary is EUR 833.33.   If the salary increases the year after from 10,000 to 11,000, thus the monthly is 916.67.  When I update the salary for the employee to this amount the previous records are also effected (for the previous year).  how can I prevent that this happens?  I do not know if I explained correctly.  in other words How can I print a payslip with the previous year totals without effecting them?

Create another table with start and end date for the salary.
Then use that for your calculations, instead of a single salary field.
