Allow me to provide you with context to my last post. I built a form in my DB with an ID field that automatically updates based on the value of that field in the last record (incrementing by 1, hence the DMAX function).
If that field's default value is set, in the underlying table for example, (in this case, to 0) the default overrode the function.
