Weekday WeekdayName functions

I'm having trouble displaying Weekday name until after time is entered.
Table
Indate - date/time short date
indow - long integer
intime - date/time short date

form
[indate]  [dayofweek]  [intime]

indate afterupdate dayofweek = WeekdayName(weekday(indate))
       dayofweek displays a blank
intime tab
       dayofweek displays correct name.

Why is it not displaying dayofweek at indate(afterupdate)

Do you actually update the indate field? AfterUpdate only runs if you update the field by typing over it. You enter the intime field, and that is why AfterUpdate runs for it.

You may need a refresh or a requery depending on how you're using it.
