I am using Mr. Richard's invoicing template.  For some reason when I open customer list from main menu, select customer, open OrderF, it does not bring over the customer I selected.  Did I miss a step, please help.

Which one is the invoicing template? I don't see it in the list of templates. I'm sure if it's one of his templates though that it is working in the template, so you've either changed something or forgot to copy something over to where you're using it, have you double checked the code behind it? Should be something like DoCmd.OpenForm "OrderF",,,"CustomerID=" & CustomerID

Oh now that I look more, I assume you're talking about the tech help video, not an actual "template" from the store. Invoicing

Edit: I see that he's using a macro instead of vba in the template. You can just copy that into what your doing

Are you going Customer List > Customer Form > Order Form > Invoice? You have to open them in that order. One depends on the previous.

If I use "Customer List > Customer Form > Order Form > Invoice" it does not open with the pre-selected customer in the customer box.

David

Can you please specify what is it you are referring to!

It's working perfectly fine for me. THOUSANDS of people have downloaded this template. No one else has reported this problem. Can you verify which database, specifically, you're using?

Have you set a Default Value?

If he downloaded my template, there's definitely a default value set.

David: are you working with the UNMODIFIED database, downloaded directly from my site? If you've made changes to it, then we won't be able to help you unless we know what those changes are.
