I was trying to compare the employees data in 2 diffwerent excel sheets. I cannt do it manually, because the records are 150000. I need some help on this. How to do it using vlookup can you please explain me in detail. how to write the formula. Thanks, Sirisha.

Any time you're dealing with more than a few HUNDRED records, I would definitely move from Excel up to an ACCESS DATABASE. Excel is not that great for working with huge lists of data. If you just want to see if someone in Sheet1 is also listed in Sheet2, then yes, you could use a VLOOKUP statement, or the INDEX and MATCH functions. See those links for more help.
