If you need to change the look and feel of your mouse pointer.

Settings -- Accessibility -- Mouse pointer and touch

Richard This would make a great Tech Help or a lesson in one of your Windows classes.

Pretty sure I covered it in one of the OLD Windows lessons (XP, 8, etc) but it will definitely be on the list for a Win 11 lesson / TH video.

But didn't we have to go through the Control Panel in those older versions?

I remember back in the day downloading custom icons and changing everything like the Recycle Bin and having a Sonic animated cursor, happy days.

Wow. That Sonic cursor sounds cool. Got any screenshots?

Yeah... it was control panel. And yeah, there were cool packs you could download. I had a Star Trek themed one. The pointer was the "A" Starfleet logo. The wait hourglass was a dude "beaming up." It was super cool. I think this is going way back to Win 95.

Very cool. I don't suppose there is a 2024 equivalent to these neat features?

I'd assume it's still possible to do
I still change folder Icons all the time to make it easier to spot what is what, I visualise things quicker than reading the names

I used to have an app, I think it was called Michelangelo, it was like a pixel art editor for icons but you could make animated cursors too.
