I have something that I feel can be done, but I cannot find any video or anything on how this would be done. I work for an HOA and I am building a Homeowner database. The information is already exported to a csv file from my accounting program so I have all that information, I can import it and update the Homeowner table I created. The issue I cannot figure out and have not seen is this. When a homeowner sells their house, they are marked inactive once everything is complete and inactive accounts are not on the export file. Is there a way to compare the import file to the Homeowner file and if the record is no longer on the import file, mark the homeowner file record as Archived?

Are both files, your Homeowner File (Table) and your Import File (Table) inside of access?
If so, you can use the Query Wizard and make a "Unmatched" query. That will show you all the records that are not in your import, then you can Update Queries those records to inactive.
