According to this page ( https://gs.statcounter.com/os-market-share#daily-20240901-20241020-bar ), Windows is used by 27% of all users worldwide.  I assume this takes into account users who use multiple devices and platforms.  That's about one-fifth, or one in five.  So "one" indeed seems to be the correct answer in the question above.

@ Kevin, interesting point, but on that same page click below on the *View operating system market share by platform* > Desktop and see that Windows is around 72%. In the house and business, I have four devices that run Android and seven computers that run Windows 10 or 11. 'How do we count that, 64%? 'Am I three "users" (counting wife and kid) or eleven? 98% of my time is on one laptop as compared to the Android phone, 'how might that affect the user stats?

But desktop is not the platform most people use nowadays.  The desktop platform only has 3 major OS, so of course Windows has a big share.  Decades ago when desktop was the only game in town (no smartphone, no mobile, etc.), this stat was more relevant.  But not anymore today.  Windows, OS X, and Linux combined only have 33.95% of the market share, and Android alone has 45%.

@ Kevin Y. I guess it boils down to how you want to mix your apples and oranges when defining market share.
