I have tried CHatGPTing this, I have tried your previous lesson on auto upload, nothing works. mmmmm its a small deal, but im trying to learn.
Q? I have a form on which I want to monthly upload or delegate someone to upload, on the click of button "btn_Import_MonthlyFullCustomerList", an explore window opens to default "Documents", the user chooses an .xlsx file as they have the freedom to prep the content. They choose it, it has set columns and headers, same as in my table "tbl_Customer" (linked table to backend on Q drive.
When they click ok after choosing file, my vision is, the date uploads, whether NEW added customers or even existing. it over writes old, or adds new.
In the linked table is a primary key first column "CustMemID". I want to be able to start fresh, import the excel data including the excel prepared "CustMemID" and all other columns. The reason, my database is not used for creating the CustMemID. This is imported from a larger app of the company, as we seperate what we are doing, and this is an internal extension database service for our care team.
So what do I do? nothing works?? Help???
So each month i want a team memebr to get the updated list of all customer details, including the company app created CsutMemID, import it with this button system, thus updating all fields as details could change, and adding new customers created on the company app with new CustMemID. We do not want to tamper with integrating systems, mmm im trying to create this as an internal app for my vip customer team to use..
