For you database nerds that want to know how everything works (and I love you, you're why I teach this stuff)... I actually have two separate databases running. Your order is collected on the web site, then once a minute an event runs on my Access database in my office that pulls all of the information down. This is for two reasons, first, I built this setup back in 2004 when collecting and storing data on a web site wasn't that easy, and it will be a LOT of work to completely rebuild it, but secondly, I feel it's more secure this way for you. Your credit card information and other sensitive data is NOT stored on my web site. It's kept safely in my office database, which only I have access to. Your order is processed by my Access database and then re-uploaded to the web site which updates the above information and your list of classes. The whole thing runs once a minute so the round-trip process is usually less than 3 minutes which is good enough for right now.

If for some reason you did place an order and it hasn't processed, and more than 10 minutes have gone by, it could be for a number of reasons. I may be working on the web site, or the Access database, in which case something may be offline. I'm working on a system to notify you of that. I usually see the system log while I'm working so if someone places an order I can put the database back online to update. Also, I'm going to be working on a system by which you can load up your balance ahead of time and then use that to instantly add credits to your account - kind of like how Amazon does the "gift card reload" and you use that for your purchases. That's coming soon. A lot of you already have account credit and that will make it easy for you to add classes.
