Hello! I have been what feels like everything under the sun to build a database for this kind of inventory management. I work at an R&D lab where we build assemblies for experiments and would like to track piece part inventory as well as be able to remove inventory from a Bill of Materials rather than having our users input every single part (some assemblies are 50+ parts). Is this possible?
Absolutely it's possible. I spend a great deal of time covering inventory management in my Access Developer series and my Barcode Seminar. While I may not have covered exactly what you're doing, the techniques I show are applicable to any inventory system. And if there's something you get stuck on, we do our best to help you here.
