Excel Tip: Count Items Between Dates

Q: I have a bunch of dated invoices. I need to count how many orders were placed between two dates (say, September 1st and September 30th). How can I do this in Excel?

A: You can use the IF and AND functions to take care of this problem. See this page for full details:

And of course you need to know how to SUM up a column - but that's easy. :)
