Microsoft says the recent Excel problem that could make paste operations fail silently is now fixed in every affected version. The bug affected Excel 2024, 2021, 2019, and 2016, plus Excel Online in Office Online Server. When it occurred, the source remained selected and the destination did not change, with no error or alert.

The fixes are included in Office LTSC 2024 Build 17932.21000, Office LTSC 2021 Build 14334.20918, Office LTSC 2019 Build 10417.20211, the latest version of KB5002665 for Office 2016, and KB4461632 for Office Online Server. Microsoft notes that the fix might not install automatically, so affected users should install the latest Office updates.
